In our early past there was a young child that had learned Chi Gung and Kung Fu at an early age.Chi Gung was practiced by the child's ancestors, and much of the technique was instinct.
Also, the child was born surrounded by this art in the way that you and I are surrounded by our language and our particular customs. And so the child began picking up these breathing techniques as it picked up breathing, these movements and strength as it picked up normal movement and strength, and being in this early part of our human existence, the child and the wilderness were one and the same.
The child slept in a field leaning sideways on a rock, resting head on arm while a Tiger drew near to it. The smell of the child made the Tiger quiver with fear, but it still drew nearer. The child opened an eye and the Tiger jolted to spring away. The child slapped a palm down and grabbed the Tigers tail slowly dragging it back and played with it until the child became bored and let it go.
Thus as we have become powerful in our technologies and machinary we have become weak in our bodies so that we no longer able to fully use the air we breathe in and convert it efficiently into energy.
