There is something to be said for slowing down, like mein lay jum training.
Not just for Kung Fu but for everything. To slow down and enjoy the moment even if it is putting a paper on the copier machine an dthen closing the top and then pressing the start button... or typing. Slowly. Slowly but smoothy, The smoothness an dfluidity of th emovement making it as though you were moving quickly, SLowing down to roundoff the many stops that one creates in ones motions. SLowing down seems to actually save time and produce less stress. In physical activity and other activity as well.
Slow. Breathe. SLow circulate chi and feel the moment. Take in the experience of life. Even if it is what we would consider crappy part of life. Work. Enjoy it.
Experience the stale office air and fake flourescent lights. I suppose this would all sound much more romantic if one were talking about being in the woods and chopping a tree. But there are crappy things about that I can imagine, as I have never done it, and perhaps the woodsman imagines sitting in our concrete towers away from the Jungle pushing paper and typing into screens.
Or maybe not.
Work and a day off, what is the difference,
Why walk to your destination.
Be at your destination walking, riding the T, or driving your car.
These actions are part of the dream, the success, living the life.
Don't rush it. enjoy it calmly, slowly and smoothly, and at the same time you will get through it more quickly as well I think.
